Dropped the kids off with a Girl Scout troop at the parks district last night. They were raising money by watching people’s kids so parents could have a date night. We went to Westgate Bourbon Bar and Taphouse, followed by Goodwill. Kids had fun, too.
Soccer is back. Beautiful day for it, too.
I’ve always wondered about the people who live above the Vista Ridge tunnels, staring out at the highway every day, listening to nonstop highway noises, and people laying on their horns as they pass through.
Beautiful day. I went out on the balcony at PSU Union during a break and loved how happy these kids were to be outside on their field trip downtown.

I’ve had four friends, family and acquaintances ask me about the Italian citizenship recognition process in the last month. The current state of affairs is making people extremely uncomfortable. It’s been tough to have to tell them that they no longer qualify given the Italian decree on Friday. 🇮🇹

Thinking about dropping use of Mastodon/ActivityPub. I don’t like that the only moderation tool is to block, which isn’t really effective at stemming hatefulness, trolling, or bullying. Bluesky and Threads both allow limiting interactions after the fact.
