Not sure why, but I’ve been really feeling the monochrome lately. Maybe a reflection of how I feel on the inside.

Monochrome at Cannon Beach, where it was 30° cooler than at home in Portland.
Went to the Oregon Zoo early today before temps got up near 100°.
Had to pull over for this one. Battle Ground, WA.
Early bird, etc.
I was picnicking with my daughter at Pittock Mansion when we suddenly found ourselves on the set of a movie. I managed to snap a few photos and liked this one the most.
Evening, beauties.
Went on a short hike at Vancouver Lake Regional Park, WA.
I work from home quite a bit and take transit when my schedule allows, but I admit to regularly doubling my commute length in miles when I’m required to come into the office. I do this to avoid the ugly strip-mall nowhereness that developed when people cared more about convenience than place.
Sort of a rough day, but I saw some pretty things.
Waiting on those dog days of summer. She’s ready, I’m not. 🐕🦺 📷 🌞
Not quite a full moon. Shot handheld while in my underwear on the front porch.
Perched on my hill.
I spoke briefly with the cyclist in the lower left of the frame once he got to the top of the hill. He said he was going to Chehalem Ridge Nature Park.
Picked up a used 100-400mm XF for my X-T5 and took it out for a walk today.
One of these days she’ll catch those birds.
TGIF.
Had to get away from my desk for a bit this afternoon. Rural Washington County, Oregon.
