Sticking with our yearly tradition that we started in 2016 of going to the coast the week of my birthday. Fingers crossed for some decent weather, but in all likelihood we’ll be at the pool!

I was between site visits today and lucky enough to have a few moments to spare, so I stopped at one of my favorite little pull-offs where I used to sometimes stop to eat my sack lunch. A lovely day, and grateful for where I landed in this world. #pdx #pnw
Beautiful outside.
My loves.
Commute.
Lost Lake, Oregon.
One of those kinds of days.
First day of seasonal depression.
Day 22: Road. Snapped this while walking from 10 Barrel Brewing to Pioneer Square for the Built to Spill concert a few weeks ago. As a planner, this makes my heart go pitter-patter.
Beautiful day at Cape Lookout.
Mood. But they’re playing “Tears in Heaven” by Eric Clapton. And just like Phoebe Bridgers said, I hate this song, but it is sad that his son died.
Listening to: Moon Song by Phoebe Bridgers
Happy birthday to my lovely, compassionate, hardworking, thoughtful, fun, and caring wife. My best friend and amazing mother to our two children, you only get better as the years go on and we are so grateful and lucky to have you!
Since picking up that cheap Canadian folk guitar last week, I have been seriously considering selling my Martin 000-28. It’s a beautiful guitar, but I’m really wondering now if a 00-12 fret might be more my speed. Punchier, more balanced tone. Looking at other Martins, Santa Cruz, and Waterloo. Drop me a line if you have any experience with these smaller body guitars or have suggestions.
Sinopah Mountain from Two Medicine Ranger Station in Glacier National Park, July 24, 2021.
Camping the Southern Oregon Coast, Cape Blanco State Park.
Made it, and set up camp just before sunset.
The Firth of Forth, Scotland. More than a handful of years ago. Edinburgh definitely left an impression on me.
Beautiful sunset in Seattle.
Given the weather at the coast was questionable today, we decided to head out to the Columbia River Gorge instead. Got some pizza at Double Mountain and now doing more exploring.
