All in all, a great birthday weekend. No huge plans made, but lots of time with both my girls, working on the house, good food, and a beer or two. Here’s to a year full of growth, a heart full of love and appreciation, and a promise to invest in those who who have invested in me.

Woke up today knowing in my heart of hearts that it’s time for a change. When you love everything about your life except your job, it’s a scary feeling. The end of 2015 and all of 2016 was great to me. I moved to a great city, found the woman of my dreams, had countless adventures, and bought a house. 2017 will be focused on physical, mental and spiritual health.

I get so much more work done in the comfort of my own home. It’s too bad my place of work allows this 0% of the time, except on my own time, which is obviously “unpaid”. Us lazy government workers. If the general public knew how many times me and my coworkers put in 60+ hour weeks without overtime, just because we’re understaffed and we care about the job we do, I think maybe there would be less shit talking about government workers going on. And maybe I could have a goddamn beer on my lunch once in a while.
