Little man’s first movie theater experience.

Back home in Oregon now. The trip back was uneventful, and despite some crabbiness, wasn’t bad overall considering how young the kids are. Pax is actually turning into a seasoned travel pro, having been to 8 states before his 4th birthday. Pax didn’t get to meet his 4-year-old cousin Lincoln due to Michigan’s backwards family courts. We also got a stomach bug halfway through the trip and someone broke into our cars despite having a house sitter. At this point, I try to take most things in stride. Parenting desensitized me to chaos in a lot of ways. Even screaming babies barely phase me. Overall, it was good for my family to finally meet some of my aunts and uncles and cousins and for my parents to spend time with us. Good for Shar to know where I’m from. My wife and kids heard “I feel like I already know you” on more than one occasion because I guess I post too many photos of them, something I’m never going to apologize for. When you live a couple thousand miles away from everyone you know, that’s just how it goes. Wish we could get back more often but such is life. Until next time.
