This is going to be a terribly unpopular opinion, but I don’t think ZGF delivered on the promise of the new PDX airport design. I was wowed by renderings, but it didn’t turn out as nice as I thought it would because of how they faked the natural lighting. It’s dark and gaudy in my opinion.
My five-year-old son, while putting together a realistic space shuttle Lego set, asks “why would astronauts need a shovel, dad?” Great question 😆
I was awarded some pretty big grant $$ to install EV chargers at my place of work (public). Comparing pricing schemes and noticed the city we’re working in charges by the hour for theirs. However, the kWh changes based on whether one or two people are plugged in to that machine. Such a scam, lol.

Having one of those down and out sorta days. Ordered Shake Shack and snuggled up with my dog, watching The Bear. Might hit the sauna later.

Might be a little late to get before the big day, but if anyone is looking for a nice little gift, I love my Fox Vulpis Italian made Swiss Army knife. A little spendy, but the blade is M390. Comes in a 5-in-1 configuration, too.

Probably some lingering Proustian childhood memory, but sometimes I just need a damn bologna sandwich with a slice of American cheese.
My deadbeat dad would’ve been 66 today had he not wrapped himself around a telephone pole while driving drunk in 2003. Be safe this holiday season.
It only cost $11-20 per package to mail my wife’s homemade gifts that have a total retail value of maybe $3 each.
I don’t understand this stuff. After over $700k and years of studying the TriMet Willow Creek site for potential transit oriented development (TOD), ECOnorthwest and architecture firms come back with a squat, over-parked development proposal despite no parking being required in Metro Portland.

The most unbelievable thing about movies and TV shows set in the 80s is how many fathers were still around.

Watching Silo on Apple TV be like…

Not sure why I had completely forgotten about the Sidecar option with iPad. Really helped while working in Smartsheet this morning.

Went and visited Santa at Three Mugs Pub.

Got out by myself for a few hours this afternoon. Had to take some books back, so I checked out the Hillsdale branch of Multnomah County Library. Stopped off at Tip Top Burger (meh), then worked on my blog for a bit at Lucky Lab SW.

Making cookies.

Those wooden handled, soft-bristled back scrubbers for the shower are such a tease. Give me one of those cheap plastic ones with the tough nylon bristles that hurt so good.
Columbia River at dinner last night.

Nice sunset despite a mucky day.

Dinner at Grandma and Grandpa Kofstad’s.

Addictive.
