My oldest turns five tomorrow. It’s hit me hard that he’s going to be in kindergarten this year and I’m having all those normal, uncomfortable feelings wrapped up with hopes for him to have a good experience and that we’ve got him at the right school.

I’m a glutton for punishment. I put together a Wordpress site focused on my blog posts vs microblogging posts. I used the Shoreditch theme with font inspiration from Atilla on Ghost. Thinking about starting there for long-form posts and here on Micro.blog for short-form posts.

One of the coolest things about learning Italian is seeing all the Latin rooted words and how they’ve influenced English words and their cognates or synonyms.

On some of these dark and cooped up winter nights, I have too much time with my thoughts and memories. Tonight I was feeling nostalgic for the places I used to live, even though I know I’m better off with where I’m at now. Still, the present can feel so suffocating at times.
