I haven't tried that, just made another account on bluesky so I can see the stuff people send when they don't follow the bridgy account there. How does it work for people who bounced before there was a bridge and abandoned their fedi account?

Not sure. I read the docs and I’m still confused. My fediverse account is also on urbanists.social but I’m enjoying all the flexibility of a PDS and what’s happening with standard.site. I’m basically feeding my personal blog PDS data at this point.
