I touched that tiny sliver of pepper to my tongue for roughly a second, then pulled it away. I didn’t feel anything at all for another 2-3 seconds. The Carolina Reaper is a cross between a “really nastily hot” La Soufriere pepper from the Caribbean island of St. Vincent and a Naga Viper pepper from Pakistan, with an average Scoville heat rating of about 1.5 million. #carolinareaper #whathaveidone #chiles #hotpeppers #peppers #hotsauce #chilipeppers #fermentation
